To bring your app into compliance, follow these steps:

To update your privacy policy declaration, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Privacy policy in App content.
  2. Enter the URL for your privacy policy. Make sure the URL is active, not editable, does not link to a PDF, is not password protected, is accessible from anywhere in the world, and is accessible from within your app.
  3. Save your changes.
  4. Send changes to Google for review. Go to Publishing overview.

If your privacy policy or the website where it's hosted require updates, make these changes outside of Play Console before you send changes to Google for review.

About the Privacy Policy section of the User Data policy

All apps must post a privacy policy link in the designated field within Play Console, and a privacy policy link or text within the app itself. The privacy policy must, together with any in-app disclosures, comprehensively disclose how your app accesses, collects, uses, and shares user data, not limited by the data disclosed in the Data safety section.

Make sure you have followed the instructions provided on this page to quickly address this issue. If you have fixed the violation, you do not need to appeal and can directly make an updated submission. If you believe our decision may be incorrect, you can appeal. It may take up to 7 days to receive a response, or longer in exceptional cases.
