Be aware of tax changes for your account in Benin
| | | | | | | | | | SERVICE UPDATE | | | Hello NYANGO, | | | We would like to inform you of the following tax changes that will go into effect on September 1, 2025. | | For developers located in Benin, you are still responsible for determining, charging, and remitting VAT on applicable taxable digital services provided to customers in Benin. | | | For developers located outside of Benin, Google is responsible for determining, charging, and remitting 18% value added tax (VAT) on applicable taxable digital services provided to customers in Benin. | | | If you are registered for tax in Benin and provide Google with your Identifiant Fiscal Unique (IFU) this number will appear on your Google invoices. | | | Here's how you can provide Google with your IFU for VAT compliance purposes: | | | | | | 2. | | In the "Settings" section, click Manage settings. | | | 3. | | Scroll down to "Benin tax info" and click the pencil icon and click Manage tax info. | | | 4. | | Navigate to the "Benin" country card, click the Add tax info button, and enter your IFU. | | | 5. | | Click Save. | | | | | | For more information on tax rates, please visit the Help Center.
